Our History
AGROCOEX S.A. is a family owned business. The founder shareholders of the company created AGROCOEX S.A. for the production and export of roses in June of 1992.
Agrocoex started its first commercial production selling to one solely customer shipping one day a week. By 1993 the total amount of stems produced reached 800.000. By the late 1993’s the decision to seek new customers in different markets led the company to pursue greater business challenges and conquer various markets with its brand. Nowadays the company has 4 farms, 65ha of production with 6 different products. Agrocoex produces 120.000 stems per day and employs more than 250 people full time.
The first greenhouse was established in the San Francisco farm with 6 hectares and a team of 15 employees.
Agrocoex counts with the production of 4 farms: San Francisco, La Victoria, El Corazon and San Jose; El Corazon Farm is located at 3.200 mts above sea level, becoming one of the few farms in our country located in this altitude. This particular condition allows us to produce roses of the best quality; thick stems, big buds and strong colors.

Roses grown in Ecuador have the advantage of perpendicular sun light 365 days a year. This allows for stems and buds to grow naturally long and straight. Altitude plays a major role, being one of the few farms located at 3200 mt above sea level, more than 10000 feet, we are able to produce roses with big buds, long and strong stems, beautiful foliage and vibrant colors. The cool and dry climate with temperatures between 10 and 20 degrees keeps disease risk low and reduces the need for chemicals. All these advantages make Ecuador the perfect location to produce roses all year round
Our brands

BLACK BOX
Black box is our Premium Line and it was developed with our farm located at 3200 mt above sea level, altitude and climate allow us to produce roses with very special qualities. Based on this and with stricter quality parameters we offer our customers a truly beautiful product with a differentiated quality in head size, colors, and thickness of stems.
LA VICTORIA
La Victoria was created from the beginning since the company was established and it has got positioned very well in the different markets we serve.
